If you want to see map offline, Gmapcatcher is an offline maps viewer. It displays maps using a custom GUI. User can browse map without internet connection. GMapCatcher doesn’t depend on google-map’s java scripts so it should work even if google changes them.
GMapCatcher is written in Python 2.6, can run on Linux, Windows and Mac OSX. You can zoom in and out of the map using the mouse scroll wheel or by using a slider, add markers, search for places, edit locations etc.Gmapcatcher will supports multiple mapping sites it include CloudMade, OpenStreetMap, Yahoo Maps and Google Map. It will work with any GPS device to find current location in the map.
