Opera Software has released its first public beta of a new Windows Mobile web browser. Opera Mobile 9.5 beta 1 offers full-screen browsing, panning and zooming, a new user interface, remote development and debugging tools, and the ability to save pages to a phone.
Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta 1 features
* Faster – Speed tests show Opera Mobile 9.5 beta loads Web pages 2.5 times faster than Internet Explorer Mobile.
* Pan and zoom – Opera Mobile 9.5 defaults to full Web page viewing and allows users to pan and zoom into their desired content in just a few clicks.
* Save Pages and/or Images – With a click, simply save your selected content and send via E-Mail, SMS or MMS to friends
* Upload contents – Upload to Web sites such as online mail services or blogs.
* Improved User interface – Opera has completely renovated its mobile UI. Cleaner and more intuitive, the new UI is designed for quick and easy navigation
Known issues
* ActiveX is disabled – Flash plugins and embedded video streaming do not work.
* Not Multilingual Build: Only English is supported. Problems with other languages (and input methods) are not unexpected.
* Installation on Memory Cards: May cause problems.
* Text Wraps: In overview and zoom mode.
